Maitreyi More is a Mumbai-based visual artist and photographer whose practice moves between surreal photography, self-portraiture, digital image-making and mixed media.
Born into a family of artists, Maitreyi grew up surrounded by her father's paintings and developed an early interest in visual art, photography and design. Her creative background also includes Indian classical dance, which shaped her understanding of movement, expression and the body as a form of visual language.
She studied Mass Media at the University of Mumbai and began working professionally while still in college, developing a practice that spans photography, visual design and art.
